Me again.....
I saw some old threads about casters but don't see where anyone has located the exact size. It looks like the bolt pattern is 3" x 1 3/4". I was looking for an 8" or 10" tire. I could have my welder modify it but was hoping to find something ready to go.
The reason I'm jumping to the caster issue right away is location of my smoker. I need to get it in the shed in the back yard which is covered in snow....

I will definitely give them a call on Monday.
Thanks!!
Does anyone here have experience with this modification? I'm contemplating lowering my cooker to lower the center of gravity and also adding pneumatic tires to improve portability on pastures/fields for competition. I'm worried about being set up in a field, getting a heavy rain and then having to deal with mud as well as uneven surfaces. Did anyone who made this modification experience improved stability (less turn over inclined)?
This is a recent thread, just a few weeks old, not sure any mods were made over the holidays, but hopefully in the new few months.

Doesn't matter what wheels you have if it's muddy, the weight will make it worse. That's why when it's raining I cook off the back of my trailer.

I'd like to make the wheel changes for mine, but hasn't been high on the priority list yet.

Someone might jump in or you could be the first Wink
Yes, I installed the new wheels last week. We have snow on the ground here and the wheels went through it much better than the originals. On my paver patio they rolled perfectly.I could see it being an issue in deep mud but I would recommend this mod to anyone that needs to move their smoker on rough ground. Pics to come....
The tire on the caster huntincuba found is 2" wide. That seems to be the widest tire you can get that will fit the plate size on the FEC100. (At least I couldn't do any better.) The CS Charbroiler takes the same size caster, too.

You can get a 1 1/4" tire with the same size plate for $30 ea. I think the wider tire might be better on grass, but it is less than half the cost.
