Yeah, I've heard that CS will give you a chance to by accessories, rubs, sauces, etc. at a discount and put them in the same shipping...also heard that they will let you upgrade the racks to stainless for a small charge.

I've also heard that they won't undercut their dealers price.

This is all hear say, so if it was me I'd call the fine folks and ask for myself!
I purchased my Amerique last year in March from the Charcoal Store in Minn. Their price was a lot lower than CS. I have dealt with service on one occasion as my probe went bad. They did not care that I purchased it through one of their dealers. They still gave me excellent service with no questions asked. I have recently started doing some catering, and cooking for a local bar. I will be retiring soon, and plan to do more catering to help with my retirement income. I just purchased an SM160 from the Charcoal Store. It was about $500 difference from CS price. I also got the $99 shipping. If you buy from an approved CS dealer it is like buying from CS themselves. I only live about 3 hrs from the factory, and would love to just go pick it up, but $500 is a lot of cash to me.
Just my 2cents. Either way you will not be disappointed with your CS smoker. It makes me look like an expert, which I am not. I have finally gotten brisket down pat in the Amerique. Took many trys, but found the right formula for me.
Enjoy your new smoker
Yep,not to say their dealers aren't great folks to work with, but .

If there is a shipping question, the folks at CS look out the door and see what is there, while the dealer emails the same person.
Usually, the CS person you talk to cooks on a product like you are getting.Like cal says,if you want changes the same CS person handles and discusses what is good or bad about the move.If time to move up cookers,etc-same person.

If there are cooking questions,or accessories, you aren't talking to the kid at the pool supplies dealer and he looks it up on his computer.

Lot to be said for that dealing with the same person for years. Big Grin
Bought mine from Cabella's and saved quite a bit with the free shipping and no tax. I waited almost a month for my unit but it was not Cabella's fault. Cookshack hasn't treated me any differently then I suspect they do with clients who purchase direct. It's their unit. They don't seem to care who you bought it from. I bet if you bought it from a garage sale, they would still give you the best service they could. Your not just buying a great smoker, your buying an American made product, with customer service that all American companies could learn from. Just my $.02.
