Did a few practice runs on the AQ during summer and found out that holding temp of 140 deg is too high. Set probe temp to 134 deg and automatic holding temp runs it up to 140 deg. Anyway of lowering the holding temp?

No. 140 is the proper food safe temp. Holding anything below that will allow bacterial growth.

Thanks S.O. for your response, that's what I was afraid of. Reason I bought an AQ was to be able set it an forget it, it seems like it can't happen with prime rib.
With that quality of a hunk of beef, I'd NEVER set it and forget it.
You really don't want it to hold too long anyway. I like to hold mine about an hour.
So time it that it finishes close, and then just turn the unit off.
