Here is a pretty good wireless one. Maverick ET-731.
I just go to the local Target store and buy a cheap $15 Taylor probe. You have to go to the smoker for the read out,oh well!
You can go to the thermometer forum and look up some others, but this should get you what you are needing.

Cal, I think you meant to say the Maverick ET-732, not 731. And I love my ET-732! Been using it now for about four months.
Do you mean replacement probe for the one that inserts in the smoker itself.
No, they're expensive for a reason, they are more consistent and reliable than cheaper and poorer quality replacements.

I've tried just about all of them. Have yet to get one to last more than a year. Last year I bought 2 Taylors with replacement probes. All 4 probes are kaput. Now I look for deals and buy half a dozen...just picked up some Onieda digital probe thermometers at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $19.
The one solid thermometer I do own is a Thermapen. It's very accurate and fast. The probe itself is great for gauging meat tenderness. They're not cheap ($90) but mine has made it past the 1 year mark

yea I was refering to the one that goes in the unit.I have a ET-732 & a guru , so that'll do . I'm new to the FEC & was interest in the probe thinking that it would lower the smoker to a hold temp when the food target temp was reached.
