Assuming you're speaking of the non-Cookshack probes...

I've tried just about all of them. Have yet to get one to last more than a year. Last year I bought 2 Taylors with replacement probes. All 4 probes are kaput. Now I look for deals and buy half a dozen...just picked up some Onieda digital probe thermometers at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $19.

The one solid thermometer I do own is a Thermapen. It's very accurate and fast. The probe itself is great for gauging meat tenderness. They're not cheap ($90) but mine has made it past the 1 year mark Smiler
