Considering the number of owners there are, a very very small minority have had issues.

What specific issues are you worried about?

There have been issues with cold weather and people with probe issues, so I'm not sure what specifically you're reading that you're concerned about.

Key is CS stands behind any model you buy and I think the Customer Service comments made her support that it's the best there is for solving any issues.

Let me know specifically and maybe an owner or two will jump in for you and help.
Thanks SmokinOkie for fast reply! I know from the forums that the CS customer service is A-ONE.Just wandering if any of the temperature probe problems other than a defective probe have been a manufacturing problem.Same thing goes for fogging and condensation problem in the control panel.Just trying to look at all aspects. Thanks again Deep Fried
Deep Fried, i have hd some issues with my probe in my amerique, i not sure what the resolve is 3 times i have cooked meat with the probe and it does not read properly, so I called Bill in customers service and he told me that some times the cold meat make the probe mess up ( I'm not sure as to why) he told me to use it the last couple hours of the cooking also told me that the read out will not read above 199 degrees. one other thing that Bill told me was that to plug it in and seee it it reads current room temp. hope this helps you in some way ~ smokin _on_the_prairie
interesting subject regarding the probe. It is hovering around 24 outside today and I'm smoking a batch of nuts so not using the probe. The smoker temp read 24 when I turned it on. For a test I just went out and plugged in the probe to see what would happen. The reading indicated a temp as I was sliding the plug into place but then immediately went back to 'no probe' when the plug-in was securely seated. I held the probe in my hands to warm it up a bit and the reading came on and shot up to 45 degrees quickly. I then laid the probe on the cold concrete patio and watched it count down. The countdown stopped at 32 degrees and held that number for a few minutes before the 'no probe' signal returned. A separate check with the Thermopen indicated a temp of 30.7 degrees at the same location where the CS probe was laying (a bit of thermal warming in the concrete as this spot was about a foot from the direct sunlight).
AFTER READING THIS FORUM FOR YEARS AND HAVING BEEN TOLD BY MY WIFE THAT I DIDNT NEED AN AMERIQUE AS I WAS HAVING "SO MUCH FUN READING THE FORUM" I SOLD A RIFLE AND BOUGHT AN AMERIQUE .IT ARIVED YESTERDAY AND ALL THOUGH I HAVE NOT USED THE PROBE ALL SEEMS TO BE IN ORDER AND THE FIRST TEST SMOKE WENT WELL .WOW, YOU SURE GET ALOT OF SMOKE FOR VERY LITTLE WOOD!

easy self posting method of pics is to open a free photo hosting account on a site like PhotoBucket and upload your images there. Copy and paste the IMG Code and paste it directly into your post here and the image will appear when posted. Be sure to set default limits to not exceed 640 pixels
