routing to another thread

reading some threads and find some with a link to a previous thread. When I click on this it takes me to the Cookshack home page. What am I doing wrong. Thanks

Probably nothing. With server changes, a lot of threads have been lost or moved. A lot of threads also led to non-Cookshack sites, and those threads have been moved or deleted.
