we ran into this both friday and saturday. only time it has done it but i was cooking all day friday for a catering job saturday. ambient air temp was 97 with a heat index of 107. trailer air temp was a coolish 105 (this is compared to the kitchen i work in where air temps are regularly 110+). also near the end of fridays run i ran out of my normal bbqrs delight pellets and had to use my back up tragers. up to that point i could regulate back to around 200 on smoke but when the tragers kicked in the lowest i could go was around 221 on my outlet side remote thermo.
but i did regulate by opening the door to dump heat.
on the plus side it really did make good biscuits for the breakfast menu and the egg strata which we cooked to satisfy vegan demands puffed up like a souffle!!!!! but venting back down from 375 to 200+ wasn't a whole lot of fun

I already had to replace my controller, that did not work so Eddy thinks it might be my probe. I will replace this weekend. I could not get my temp below 325ish so I filled a large catering pan with water and placed it on the bottom shelf. Brought the temp into the 225 -235 range on the 180 setting.
