After using my PG500 I usually turn heat setting down to 225* or so, brush any crud off the grates, let fire if it's really roaring in the fire pot, simmer down for 2-3 minutes, and then flip the switch to off. Just wondering if that is the preferred way to shut one of these down or ?? Seems a little strange to just kill the power while a good fire is still blazing away, but what other choice do you have?
