I am wanting to purchase a cookshack and finally got to see a smokette "in real life"
It seems very small but was wondering more about how much it can handle. 25-20 pounds of meat doesn't realy help me, I'd like to know in more visual terms.
It's just me and my wife and our two sons 6 and 1. I would want to be able to cook enough for guests once in a while though. Is the smokette gonna be big enough?

The Smokette is big enough to feed the family and guests.

IE: Smoke up three 8lb. pork butts and thats enough meat to feed 25- 30 people depending on how big of eaters you have.

Now you wont feed that same 30 people ribs unless you do several loads ahead of time and reheat.

It just depends what's on the menu!
I agree it depends on what you make, it will definatly feed a family of 4. If you do plan on cooking for a lot of extra people often, I would go with the next model up, the 055 I think, I wish I would have gotten it instead of the smaller one, as I will do food for 20-80 people at times and it does limit what you are making, unless you want to cook a few days ahead.
The Cookshack is the perfect size for 99.99 percent of your cooks.

With mine I've cooked for groups of over 100, though in multiple loads. I've put 6 pork butts in at once, though my favorite load is two butts and a brisket right below it, so the butts can baste the brisket. That should be enough to feed your kids plus the inlaws
