I have a very good charcoal smoker but i guess i am getting lazy i would like to set it and forget it i have been looking at bradley , traeger and cookshack i am leaning towards cookshack but haven't totally made up my mind as of yet the sm055 looks good but it would be nice if it were big enough for a slab of ribs can you cook falling off the bone ribs on the hooks and not have them end up in the bottom?
is the amerique really worth the $500 more does it cook better i know its bigger which would allow a slab of ribs to lay in it and it has a digital control but it sounds like an awful lot of money . What say you

I guess it depends on how tender the rib meat gets before you take them out. Mine don't fall off the hooks, but I cut them in half to fit my Smokette so they aren't as heavy. I have never heard anyone say theirs' did. Full slabs will hang in the 050 and 055. If I get another Cookshack smoker in the future, it will be something with digital controls and probe like the AmeriQue. Right now, I am very happy with my little 'ole smokette.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your choice, whatever it may be!
