Smoke Box Redesign

I haven't looked at the CS website in a while. I was going to order some wood and I started looking at all the models. I noticed from the pictures that the wood box is different. Holes on the sides and it looks like it wraps around and covers the bottom of the heating element. I have a 025 I bought at the end of 2014. When was the new redesign put on the market? Any ideas why this was done? Any performance advantages? Will the new box fit on my machine and should I get one? I appreciate it. Thanks.

I seem to remember reading that they were making the smoke box smaller because of operator error loading up with too many wood chunks.

I would be willing to bet most of us did that just once. For me it was ribs.....

You might call CS and talk to them about it. They may send you one for free since it's an upgrade.
