Smoking in the Winter

I am STILL trying to decide on which smoker to purchase. Traeger vs Cookshack. I know from reading previous posts that the CS does great in cold weather. Does anyone know how the Traeger (070) will handle the cold? Also, anyone know if FE will put out a smaller Pellet Driven oven? THANKS!!

I have both a Traeger and a CS. The Traeger will work fine in the winter unless you have it on the "smoke" setting. It'll only be about 125 degress or so. On the other hand in the summer the same setting is about 210 degrees. The range is supposed to be from 150-180. Weather really makes a difference.
If you do get a Traeger get the thermostat control. It is a must have.
