ST vs. Cookshack question

Hello yall and congrats on a great forum.I was wondering if there is any difference between the ST and cookshack models as far as the amount of wood chips or pieces used to make the same recipes in both units?Hope I dont get bashed too bad as I am expecting my ST 1400 by Tuesday.Hope to be able to use your forum for great recipes and advice.Thanks for any info!

The times, temps and amount of wood should be the same for both smokers. You will need to do your own research on how much wood is best for yor taste, so keep good notes.

Since the Smokin Tex was originally made by Cookshack and then moved to a cheaper Chinese mnfg,it should work somewhat the same.

You'll find that this forum will welcome and support you,just as if you had a Cookshack.
