I have 2 seasons on my pg 500. today I when I tried to fire it up and the igniter would not shut down. basically it was burning the pellets in a big fire. any ideas?

Well north of 250. I kept shutting it down but at each restart it would gain a degree every two seconds.
I think you should disconnect the power and then clean around the igniter with a dry toothbrush or other small brush, Replace the burner cap and reconnect. Hope it will help. drift boss
