Temp Variance

I decided to verify my temp with a calibrated thermometer this morning and found out my actual temp was colder by 20 degrees indicated. Has anyone had the same issue and is there a way to calibrate?

Well, it lists a Lang 84 as the smoker you cook on in your profile. Is this the smoker you are speaking of?

As RibDog mentions...you are referring to a FEC, right?

Check to make sure the probe on your FEC (left side) is clean. Place your calibrated therm proce next to the FEC probe. Still 20o difference?
