Hey Guys, just wanted to update everyone on my progress with the FE. We had some guests over from Memphis, so they know good Que. Pressure was on so I was more than a little nervous since this was only my 2nd ever BB rib cook. The menu looked like this.
9 rack of Baby Backs
7lbs of potatoe salad
Hog Apple Baked Beans (enough to feed an army!)
Bread Pudding with Jack Daniel's Sauce

Everything was fantastic and got rave reviews from everyone there. The ribs and baked beans both cooked together in the FE100 for 3hrs @ 274 at which time I pulled the beans, basted the ribs with AJ, then locked the door for about 15 minutes. Came back with my Pepper jelly mixture and basted them bad boys. Dropped the temp to 200 for 15min. to set the glazed then pulled, wrapped in foil to rest until guests arrived about 1hr later. This smoker makes even me look good!!!! I love my FE100! Thanks to everyone that contributes to this forum. It is a wealth of information for us Newbes.

The nicest part is what Smokin' points out, to new folks that comment on all the problems and terrible learning curves,etc.-that they read about.

Yes,concerned folks want to have a problem fixed-immediately,and CS service does that.

Think how many folks own Cookshacks ,for the last half century, and never came on the forum, because they never had the problem.

For the regulars on here, that never comment "what a great cook they had this weekend"-because they think of it as the norm. Wink

Oh well, that's what we are here for. Big Grin
Well, I'd like to do some brisket next, but just keep getting requests for my ribs! I'll be out of town this weekend so I'll have to wait until next weekend to cook again. My kids that were over Sunday for the cook, called Monday asking when they could come over for the left overs! Ribs on the menu for tonight again. Man, this is tough on the waist line.
