Tranporting a FEC100

Just remember it is top heavy,so be sure to secure it in transport.

Some folks just lock the wheels and secure it,in case you wish to move it around.

Some will remove the interior racks,lay on it's back and secure it.

Sure, Stuart had one where he bolted two of them directly to the floor.

Just look at the trailer and where to put them as it will affect how it pulls.

What kind of a wood floor.

I had one of mine bolted to my car hauler with the FEC500 at the end.

The floor was 2x8 and it did fine. But if it is only plywood, you may need to add bolts into the frame of the trailer so the plywood does not flaex.

The floor is 2X8. Thanks to everybody for the response. Does anybody have any experience with using an appliance dolly to move/transport a FEC? I am a one man show and thought that I may be able to lay it down and pick it up by myself if i used an appliance dolly. Feedback on this thought is welcome.

I bolted mine to my grill trailer. The floor is plate steel and I added reinforcing strips just in case. It is top heavy and would hate to see it pull loose and end up in the street.

I transport my FEC 100 in a 4'x6' utility trailer that I put marine grade plywood on the floor of. The FEC gets layed down in the trailer. I can do this much by myself. But I cannot pickup the FEC100 with the IQ4 controller by myself as the center of gravity changed on this model. But I have never had a problem finding someone to help me pick it back up once I get wherever.

I remember back when you were younger and just carried it on your shoulder.

It's easy to pickup and move around. I'm on the wrong side of 67 and don't have an issue with it. It does tend to be somewhat top heavy tho.

Does anyone know where the casual labor pool or hospital is in Sallisaw?
