It's really a poorly written article, just bad writing:

What's the meat made of?
Pig innards and plenty of salt. Typically, "restructured meat product" includes pig bits like tripe, heart, and scalded stomach, says Whet Moser at Chicago Magazine, citing a 1995 article by Robert Mandigo, a professor at the University of Nebraska.

It doesn't say that this is what MCribs are made of, it says "typically" so by inferrence the normal reader believes this is what they are made of.

I'm not sure McDonald's has told us what they're made of. They might be or might NOT be...

Oh, has anyone checked on how they make turkey and ham in those perfectly shaped balls???

We do not get the lobster roll down here!!!!!!!

I've never tried one; never will. Given my proximity to Boston or Maine, I'll make my own when not eating the real deal as per steamed or baked stuffed lobsters. The ONLY place I'll order a lobster roll is Red's Eats in Wiscasset, Maine...and will stand in line for 20+ minutes to get one Smiler

I've had a Mickies lobster roll and it was very good (if there are no other restaurants around). Actually it was quite good with real lobster chunks and one claw meat.... I'd buy another if they had them in MI.

And I'm with you on Red's Eats.... go by it several times a summer when I visit Maine. Only have eaten there once.... but I was #1 in line and still had to wait almost an hour before they opened. They open when they want to (or are ready) and that can vary about 45 minutes.
