We're doing a turkey traditional in the oven again Thursday and 2 eight lb. turkey breasts in the smoker. I smoke an extra breast and give a couple smoked half breasts to guests for smoked turkey sandwiches the next days. It's a favorite amongst the folks here and is an inexpensive gift that's always enjoyed.

I normally use Alder wood or Hickory with the birds but am thinking of Pecan this time. Just curious as to what the smoking folks on the forum enjoy with their turkeys.

You can go wrong with the Jack Daniels Oak. I have used this by it's self and mixed with apple. I use the chips rather than the chunks simply because it is easier for me. I may try some peach mixed with the oak or pecan. I also have some orange, so may use this since I like a little orange flavor in my bird. I am going to post a new thread on how I do my bird.
