I DID IT.I have been one of those lurking this site for about 3 months or as i call it do a self-study. The forum is a great place to get started. I checked out other smokers and there web sites, but always came back to CS. After seeing the smokette at a local CABELS, seeing it standing along side other brands, and being made in the USA. i knew this was it. Ordered a smokette model 008 and received it a week ago. Seasoned on Friday. Smoked 2 4lbs. chicken on saturday with 4oz. of apple wood, about 6 hours later it was done , best darn smoked chicken i had. (need to log the results) The wife and i ate one ,foiled one gave it my brother-in-law. (trying to out do him). I have a 10lb. brisket in the fridge which i picked up at Sam's Club, plan on smoking it for the 4th. Can't wait taste it, knowing it will be the best darn brisket i had...
