Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new smoker. You're going to love it. There are a lot of good people on these forums always willing to help. The first thing is to be sure to season your smoker. Once you season it most people say to smoke a nice fatty piece of pork first. If you don't have a remote thermometer yet pick one up before your smoker arrives.
Enjoy

p-ville smoker,

Congrats on the purchase !! I know SOMEWHERE there is a thread about "Lessons for New Users" but can't find it. SOO I'll take a stab..

1. Season the smoker
2. Nice BIG FAT BUTT
3. Foil the top of the smoke box and bottom of smoker floor POKE HOLE FOR DRAIN !!
4. Load wood box, don't take much, 4-5 oz.
5. Place afore mentioned butt (seasoned) in smoker
6. Stick remote probe in meat, run cable thru smoke vent.
7. Close door, DO NOT OPEN TILL DONE !!!!
8. Set thermostat desired temp (225)
9. Grab the remote and a adult beverage and relax.

GOOD LUCK !!
