I had always assumed that the Smokette (008, 009) was basically the same as the Smokette Elite (025) except for the electronic controls and maybe a temperature probe. But as I look at the Cookshack website more closely - is it correct that the Smokette Elite is a little larger of a cooker? Also - it appears that the heating area (wood holder) is a different style - maybe because the cooker is wider?

Thanks,
Steve P.

With the wider shelves on the 025, the smoker can handle 3 whole racks of baby back ribs on each of the two shelfs--no need to cut the racks to get them into the smoker. Easier to fit a full packer brisket. Also, the 025 can cook to 300* which is important for smoking chicken and turkey and wings. For $150 it's worth it IMHO.
