Anyone seen a chicken throne made of clay? It is a one piece item and the throne portion holds liquid in the same fashion as a beer can would in a wire throne. The bottom holds drippings like placing a pie pan under a wire throne.

I use a stainless steel throne. It has a wide base to keep chicken from falling over, plus it is the most sanitary. No beer can paint, and it can be washed thouroughly every time.
It works great. Only thing is, it doesnt have a drippigs catch like the pottery one does. However it is much less succeptable to "between chicken" contamination!
