Has anyone used these in the smokette? Do they offer enough support for the meat strips?

I believe I use the same diameter jerky rods in my 150. Work just fine. Yes they sag a tad but I load the meat strips about a fingerwidth apart. Guessin 3/4 inch apart for even heat/smoke distribution. You wont be dissapointed.

We use an Amerique. We had shish-kabob rods that just happened to be the perfect length to put across the shelf brackets. Didn't have to wait in rods to arrive from Cookshack.
Guess I'll head over to TSC and give em a shot.
When I used to make jerky in my Brinkman Barrel, I used small S hooks and just hung them off the rack. Picked them up at the hardware store. It was better than the toothpick method.
That S hook idea is really great. I suppose if you were really cheap you could make your own, with a beer or two, or?? and watching the football playoffs. Sharpen the points on a grinder.

At one time I looked at buying 1/8" SS rod and making my own. When all was said and done, for the quantity needed it was about the same price as buying them from CS.
