35/38 mm casing

I've never ordered from these guys, but they seem to have a great selection of everything.

Not all that much difference in the two sizes. For just starting out, I would use whatever size I could find.

I have ordered from them often, excellent source for sausage making supplies. Kielbasa, is a larger size than the 31-32 used in smaller italian sausage. Some recipes call for 38-42 for kielbasa. Sausage maker is a source for pretubed natural casings, it is higher but easier to use and you can take out just what you need and resalt and store in fridge or freeze what is left.

Sausage maker does have a good selection, thanks. The cheapest package for the 1 1/2-1 3/4" casing is good for 50 lbs and comes in 3 tubes. I guess I'll just have to make in 15+ lb batches..... still $35 with shipping/handling/tax is expensive for just wanting to experiment....

Check a local butcher shop too.

I have used Eldon's for many years and have had good luck with their products.

I use One Stop Jerky Shop for all my meat processing supplies. They carry casings and seasonings of various varieties too. I get my orders fast which I really like and have had no issues with the products...yet!

I have venison summer sausage in my sm025 smoker this morning so I have lunch at deer camp next week. Hope to have a BBD opening morning.

Midwestern Research is where I get all of my sausage seasonings and casings. They are located in Wichita, KS so it's like free overnight shipping for me in central kansas. Pretty much every meat locker and sausage kitchen that I go to uses their stuff.
