I seasoned my Amerique for 4 hours at 200 degrees and it hardly burned any of the wood. Is that normal ?

The reason your wood didn't burn completely is because your elements didn't cycle on long enough to burn the wood. The elements only come on when the temperature in the oven drops below the set temp, try putting a pan of ice on one of the shelves and then re-season the oven. The ice will absorbs some of the heat causing the elements to cycle on more often and your wood to burn more completely.
During a normal cooking cycle, your product will absorb the heat causing the elements to cycle more frequently, burning all the wood.

Also, you should set it higher than 200*, like 250* maybe. Do the instructions call for 200*?
I tried again @ 250 for a longer time and it burned all the wood. Thanks.
