AmeriQue Jerky rods too short

I have an AmeriQue and there is only a tiny bit of rod hanging on each slide slot, they are always falling off ruining my jerky, the distance between the slots on opposite sides is 16.5 inches and the rods are only 17 inches leaving only a 1/4" inch on each end, I feel the rods should be 17.75 inches, Does anybody else have the same problem?

I have an AmeriQue and have the stainless jerky rods I use all the time and have not had any trouble. I have not measured anything,but I think they are 17-3/4" long and they work with a a full load of jerky hanging on them just fine!!

Thanks, I talked to "Tony" at cookshack and he agreed, they had cut the rods too short at 17 inches, he said they should be 17 5/8 and will send me out a new set.
