amerique temp setting

I just recieved my amerique and have been trying to get it seasoned. I set everything like it said in the owners manuel and after 2 hours it still has not reached the temp setting of 200 that nit is set on. Is this normal or how long should it take?

Mine heats up much quicker than that. Are you using an extention cord?

I'd suggest you call Cookshack and speak to service,as they rarely monitor this forum.

The rest of us,can merely make guesses,where they can solve the problem.

I had it plugged directly in to the power and ir never got past 170
