Brand new model 066. Plug probe in and it reads no probe. Push probe in very hard and probe reads 200. I had probe set for for 175. Therefore it will go into hold mode before I even started cooking. Has anyone had this problem??????

I wouldn't have pushed it in very hard. When you first put the probe into cold meat, it won't read. The reading will show up as the meat hits 40* This happens to a lot of us.
Unplug it and try it again. If it still misreads, call Cookshack. They'll take care of you.
