BBQ contests

Many competitions don't don't allow electric smokers I don't want to spend the time to ensure wood is working Amerique for me besides I already have two indirect heat charcoal grills from my youth for the times I want to stay home and tend them.

Electric Cookshack smokers are not legal for most competitions. MANY competition cooks use Cookshack's Fast Eddy line of pellet cookers. I personally cook on a FEC100 and a PG1000 for competition... but haven't been on TV... yet

But... not many pellet cooks have been on BBQ Pitmasters etc.

But, many pellet cooks have been grand champions on the BBQ circuit. Many from this forum.

Check out the post from Butchers BBQ in the FEC Competition forum. Ranked the #1 team in the US. Guess what cooker they use?

Pitmasters is sponsored by Kingsford and they produce about 20 zillion tons of briquettes. That may have something to do with it

Chris Hart (Turkey/whole pork belly episode) smoked his pork belly and ribs on a pellet smoker...not a Cookshack product but he still has a few things to learn

DIVA Q used a pellet smoker in an episode too. It wasn't a Cookshack which is probably why she lost!
