Has anyone purchased whole beef tenderloins at Sams Club and have them cut into individual steaks? Just wondering about the quality, and is it worth the price? Thanks!

I buy NY Strips and Tenderloins when they are on sale. I slice em and vaccuum seal them and into the freezer they go.
I save a ton of money buying them whole.

Ask your meat manager at Sam's,and tell him your are a regular bbq cook.

Hey Tom, thats what I exactly did. Not only did he pull a great one out of the back and cut it all to 1", but, he also suggested a few 3 down BB Ribs. Kind enough to explain the 2 down they also sell at the same price. Also told me their butts cannot be beat, whic I already know and just ask for him if I ever have any questions.

My dad buys them all the time and ages them in the cryovac for 45 days in the fridge. He then cuts it into steaks. This makes some darn fine steaks.
