Cabelas Price just went up.

Well I just got off the phone with the cabelas rep, and to make a long story short, they gave me the old price, I used a $20 internet coupon, and my visa points...... I ended up getting the model 50 for $620.

So after 5 yrs of lurking and wishing, I guess I will be an official owner of a cookshack smoker. ( in 1 to 2 weeks. ( shipping ))

I myself just bought the smokette from cabelas. I couldn't be happier now bc the price of it just went up 100 dollars as well. Hopefully I'll be receiving it in about a week. Good luck with your first smoke.

From what I understand, the smoker will be drop shipped straight from Cookshack. Will it really take 1 to 2 weeks?

I was going to make some sausage tomorrow, but I guess I will wait so that I can smoke it....

I'm sure 2008 will probably better, and busier, than 2007 for Cookshack. They have been turning out smokers as fast as they can. Quality takes time.

Wow, just bought a smokette at the new Cabelas in Reno NV and am very happy with it.

Good to see someone else using their Cabela's points for a CS.. I got a 008 first and then an Amerique.. They negotiated quite nicely on the AQ. I now have about 1000 more points and have to figure out what to use them for... terrible problem..

I also picked up a Smokette II at Cabelas in Reno 2 weeks ago ($400). Have used it several times now and other than using too much wood the first time (my fault..still had the old mindset) am very happy with it...yeah I had some points (mine do not acumulate for too long before use); a $300 gift cert and coupon for $30 off if I got it store only and walked out with it for about $20 out of pocket incl tax.

This is what always happens to me. Either I pull the trigger too soon (something that I buy goes down in price the next day) or I wait too long. I guess I'm going to call Cabelas tomorrow to try the same thing. I've been eyeing the 55 for about a month now and was going to wait until I had another $100 of Cabela's cash to get it but now that the price has jumped, I'm going to try to see if they can get me the old price. Wish me luck!

Ok, I just got off of the "live customer service chat" and they gave me the previous price of $***.99. That's $120 off of their current price. The way that she had me order it off the website with the old price was by clicking on the "Catalog Quick Order" link and putting in the older catalog number TH-516031. It seems like the same number but with a "TH" in front of it instead of a "QW". Might work with other models as well. I also got to stack two $20 off coupons that I had.

OK, so I order my unit on Saturday and was told it was going to ship from cookshack straight to my house in 1 to 2 weeks.

Hehe, My smoker arrived today, 3 days, (2 business days) later. Thanks to cookshack for a quick shipment.

I can't wait to season the unit. I will be making sausage this weekend.

Cool. I just may have to try that. Did they send you shipping information or did it just show up? I've got my order in, but I haven't even recived and information about when it is going to ship. Mine is still listed on their website as pending...

What recipe are you using for making sausage? I've got some deer in the freezer that I'm wanting to do that to.

kosy, you've had lots better luck getting your smoker than I have. Ordered mine the 3rd....it said backordered but should arrive and ship on the 4th...yesterday I called to check and the backorder date has been moved to the 18th or 19th.
The anxiety is killing me!!!

FFMedic82, I usually have your luck when it comes to these kinds of things; however, since everything else in my life seems to be off this past week, I guess the big guys has decided to throw me a bone.

Which model did you order? I ordered the 55. My order still says pending and I ordered mine on the 6th.

For $899 you can get a 055 from the charcoal store. According to their website they have them in stock. 050's are $825 but out of stock.

I bought my 050 from them. Great customer service and I had the unit in 3 days.
CS Smokers and accessories purchased with the unit (cover, jerkey rods etc.) ship free.

I ordered the smokette. The fireman salary just wouldn't allow for the 050. Good luck getting yours in. I need to quit signing on to the forum.....I'm trying not to think about it!! ha.

I just went into Cabelas Monday. I had called ahead looking for the 008 model. They said they had it in stock. When I got there all they had was a floor model and it was scratched up. Their policy is to sell the floor models for -10%.I explained that when I was on line last week the price was 399 instead of 499. They said that the catalog pricing could be different that the instore price. They not only honored the old price they gave me a brand new 009 for 399.99. I could'nt be happier with their service. Just found out that my 55 shipped today. Can't wait!

Hopefully it will arrive on Saturday. Mine was shipped by conway freight. They will call you 24hr before they drop it off. I called them on the day they left the message and picked it up myself.

Well I didn't get it today, so I'm thinking it will be here either Monday or Tuesday.

I went to our Cabelas in Reno and they still sell all cookshack models at the old prices. It looks like just the Cabelas web site is selling the smokers at the new price.

They raised the prices in the La Vista,NE store.
