The mail I received from Cookshack today recognizes Canada's Thanksgiving on Friday, September 29th. But by my records, they celebrate their Thanksgiving on the 2nd Monday of October. Did I miss something?
You're right, the 29th isn't Canadian Thanksgiving. We weren't trying to wish a Happy Thanksgiving today, but this is the October issue of the BBN, so we felt it fit in this issue. We probably should have made that more clear. Also, it gives our Northern friends plenty of time to pick up a Cookshack and get ready to use it to smoke their bird . As a misplaced Canadian, I found it an important holiday to recognize.
Pardon me ehe(sp?). I was going to wish all those north of the Border a Happy Thanksgiving, but when I looked on my Politically correct calendar with all the holidays in the world. October 2nd is the Queen's Birthday celebrated in W. Australia. The second Monday in October (9th) is the Canadian Thanksgiving.
