I have a SM020 Smokette which is about 3 months old - I've used it about 10 times so far. How often is it recommended to clean the probe (not the meat probe but the internal probe which measure the oven temperature). What is the best way to clean the probe? Should I use a vinegar mixture or what? Thanks all!!

The key is you need to look at your probe. If it doesn't need cleanin' then don't.

BUT...

Many owners don't even check and if it gets covered in grease, food or whatever, you should clean it off.

Something simple, just don't make a major deal of it. Scotchbrite pads work well enough.
