Cookshack OEMs

Does Cookshack sell their products under other labels, or OEM their smokers? I ran across a pecularly familiar smoker at a sporting goods store today--looked like a Cookshack in every way but the company name was Smokin Tex, or something like that.

Do a search on Smokin Tex. You will find that this topic has been discussed several times before. My understanding is that they used to be one in the same but ST parted ways and is now manufactured in China and the CookShack in the USA. But, do a search and see for yourself.

CS used to make a couple of the smaller models in a green color for Smokin' Tex.

Tex figured out that the chinese prisoners could make it cheaper and are doing so.

There is not a support system for ST,but a couple members of the forum have dealt with them and so far are pleased with the product.

The CS forum will still welcome you and help you where we can.

On the other hand, I think Hi Mountain was selling a rebadged Cookshack as their jerky and prime rib oven. Maybe others as well.

But Smokin' Tex is a different story.
