Old Dog Learns New Trick......I just discovered that country style pork ribs are cut from the pork shoulder. I just never stopped to think where the meat was cut from. I bought 9lbs on sale for .99 cents and will marinate/season and tie with string into a big roast looking hunk of pork shoulder.......my guess is it will cook up real nice for some fine pulled pork.

Any comments from other who have tried this??

never have tried the tieing together thing but what i have tried (and it worked) was asking the meat manager if he would sell me the butts frozen, uncut for the same price. worked like a charm. his sales numbers went up and his only labor was weighing and pricing the cyrovac packages.
