Dallas Dandy Brisket

There is a recipe in Smoke & Spice called Dallas Dandy Brisket. It has a recipe for a rub and a marindae that uses, among other things, chile powder, canned chipolte chiles and beer. Has anyone tried this? How did you like it?

Not a direct answer,but be aware that Smoke and Spice tends to greatly understate cooktimes and internal temps.

Many brisket rubs contain chile powders and chipotles, and beer is often used in mops-for those stickburners that flow a lot of air and like to mop.

Don't have my book with me, to comment further about the overall recipe.
