Event Food Vendor Fees | Cookshack

Anyone notice the huge (15-20%) increases in vendor fees at various events? What gives? For some events you won't start breaking-even until after the 200th customer or so.

Makes me thing there needs to be a food vendor association (probably already is one) organized boycott.

Thoughts?

Yep,that has been happening to these big rib burner events for a couple years now.

the same thing is also happening with contests. even though the ham jam would have been an ez tow for us to be honest it was obvious to me that the promoter was only using entry fees to subsidize the redneck singers.
funny thing though. the people with robertson's racing pigs advised us to get in contact with the american fair operators association. they came out of the vegas conference with over 80k of contracts. when i do a search i will post you the addy. but the search will have to wait until i replace the shear pin in my fec. doing that the friday after thanksgiving (right after i buy a motorcycle jack to move the thing with)
oh go to the florida folk festival site and download their vendor form. head count is over a quarter mill on that event plus your gennie will meet their requirements!!!!!!

ps. with the fec down i used my 29 buck bullet to smoke with. threw in a handfull of allspice berries. smelled heavenly. sales went way up!!!
