Question about BBQ accessories, which brands/models of Ez-up shelters should one consider for their smoking arsenal?
I am considering buying a 10'x10' Abba Patio Heavy Duty canopy (weight around 80#), and wondering if anyone had any experience with this one? User comments on this one were all positive (for whatever that is worth).
Reading the user comments on EZ-Up's Envoy canopy had some that said a good rain made that one collapse.
Not looking to spend a ton of money as I won't use it all that much each year - mainly when I travel with my smokers, but don't want a cheap piece of junk either. Thanks!!

For what it's worth, when I go to craft or artisan fairs locally, almost every vendor uses EZ-UP (I don't know which model). I am also looking for a shelter to be on a high deck about 10 ft from the house, maybe 8 x 10 ft., to be used all summer. I'd be interested in what you choose and how it works. I've been thinking about the tradeoff between rain shelter and smoke venting.
Jay1924, Don't know where you live or how much summer rains you get. From what I've read so far, the E-Z Up type shelters should not be just set up and left since their roof support structure is basically there as only a temporary shield and not as load bearing. A good rain can collect as puddles on the canopy roof causing it to stretch & sag collecting even more rain water. If not poked/pushed up to drain that water, it can overwhelm the support frame and things go bad then.
Sounds like you might want something a little more permanent if you want to leave it up all summer. Good luck with your search.

Cal, Thanks for your comments.
Olysmokes, thanks. Yeah, I'm considering a stouter setup. I'm in NJ in the summers - some pretty good storms with wind near the shore. Cal's comment about 500 denier is good - even 650 is available in polyester. I'm also considering a more permanent structure like a gazebo. Some time ago, Smokin' Okie posted pics of his setup - quite impressive and got me thinking.
