Okay, I'm new at this, so don't laugh. I recently bought an FEC100. I have only done 4 cooks, and none of them have been very serious. On each cook I really cleaned the unit, even using the shop vac to clean out the little fire pot. This time I just cleaned the grills and wiped the dust out. The first 3 cooks were done with some old pellets that I bought locally, and I'm sure the were carried over from last year. This time I used new pellets that I just received form BBQr's Delight. If I lowered the thermostat to the smoke or 180 setting, I would come back later and the fire would be out. It did it 3 times. As long as the temp was set at 225 it worked fine. Unit is located on a covered patio. It was a damp night and morning, even some showers. Will the damp air cause this? The unit is where no water actually reaches it. I really don't like getting up to check things in the middle of the night and having to clean out the fire box and get it started again. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Don
