Freezing Hot Links

I'm going to make a big batch of hot links for an event in Sept. - should I make them, freeze them, defrost and then smoke OR make them, smoke them, then freeze them. I'd rather make them, freeze, defrost, and then smoke so they'll be right out of the smoker at the event.

Make them and freeze them raw. You can thaw them and cook'em up. They'll be great!

So Tom. Care to share your reciepe for hot links? What do you use for the heat? I have been trying to make my sausages hot and have failed each time.
