I voted for Feb/Aug. But I would be up for anything as long as there isn't another one in the next few months. I have plenty of sauce and rubs for now 
I like May because it's Natl BBQ month. Hopefully we will have many years of the reunion at Smokin's deck as well??? That will be soooo much fun! Just think how good it will smell for 2 days? Probaly have to have security there to keep all the neighbors out?
Don't forget that October is National Pork Month
Just because there is an exchange, doesn't mean you have to participate. You can always skip one and do the next one. Right?

So it appears we have a winner. May and November. Here are the proposed dates for the event in May.
April 1st- Sign ups begin
May 1st- Sign ups close
May 2nd-Assignments are PM'd to all
May 17th (tax day) Packages must be mailed
These are all tentative and open for discussion.

I think we need to point out that a person can do any or all,skip one and do the next, or any combination of this. This is just trying to get a semi-annual schedule worked out.

Sounds good Padre and thanks so much for what you do to coordinate this! Cal said it very well as to participation or not. I would like to suggest possibly May and Oct as there shouldn't be any freezing temps yet to cause any problems in the northern areas? Just a thought??
Hmmm... Gonna have to come up with a new rub for the next time, since I already posted the recipe for my current favorite.
Shouldn't be too bad if we get the boxes out at the start of Nov.
Got an e-mail from Bubba, he was mad as hell that he missed out on the 1st exchange. Said he had been busy working and hadn't been on the forum for a while. I told him that I would e-mail him when we do it again.

I'm going to sit this one out, I'm afraid. I will be traveling between Florida and Maine during April and May finishing out my contract before retiring at the end of June. Just a case of too much work to do and no time for play.
