I am almost embarrassed to admit, but I have completly blown it with my cast iron grate on my PG-500. It's in horrible shape with rust taking over. I know I can replace it for $99 through the website, but before I do, I thought I would ask for suggestions on trying to save it. I have watched countless youtube videos and internet research. I was going to try soaking for a few days in cider vinegar and perhaps some baking soda. Then once the rust is off season the hell out of them. PROPERLY this time. Man, I blew it. Perhaps one of you has a better suggestion?
Take care of your cast iron grates! Take it from me, lesson learned.
