andy hi... i can"t believe you asked the same question as me when i first got my 55. what i do is insert the long end on the hook in between the bones about 3 to 5 bones down, make sure you get it in a thick part of the meat, hang it with the other end from the top rack of the smoker, you will have to remove some of the other grills to let it hang down. i like to hang my ribs but alot of the great people on this bb will cut them in half and just put them on the racks. good luck and let me know how it goes. sfent
cbear, I believe that's what they're talking about, in a 50/55 model. So, guess you wanting someone's experience with them. I've heard good and bad.

I think it's mainly a space consideration. I never used them (but have them) and I've got rib racks for my 150's but don't use them either (but have).

Personal preference.

Do a search for rib hooks, I believe a number of people do and you should find some more posts.
