You get the first Illinois BBQ Alliance Charter Member BBQ Bash!!!

We will also be making a donation to Operation BBQ Relief and establishing the Chicago Chapter.

Dinner is Thursday June 7th from 6-10pm @ Sweet Baby Rays - Woodale.

Please bring a check for $125 made out to Operation BBQ Relief, $25 for spouses.

That sounds like a great night. It would certainly be on my agenda except for the fact I'll be traveling out of town at the time. Too bad. I would have loved to attend.

Wow, not enough notice to get my tickets, vacation time but that WOULD be work being there.

If you're going, tell them we all said Hi and take lots of photos.

Me? I'd rather be called the Okie Mafia than the Alliance, but Mafia means something different in Chicago LOL

Wow, great time tonight. Probably 90-100 people showed up. Scottie from CancerSucks couldn't make it, but ALL the food was incredible. Was Dr. BBQ's birthday today, Lee Ann Whippen brought out a cake for him.

Russ, Ray says hey and good luck with the restaurant.

Found out something interesting I didn't know. Both Ray Lampe AKA Dr. BBQ & Dave Raymond AKA Sweet Baby Ray got their start in BBQ on the same day back in 1982 at Mike Royko's 1st annual Chicago Rib Fest. And allegedly large amounts of alcohol were also involved in said events.
