It's time!

Bought an 08 in 2008. Been wanting to upgrade to a FEC 100 ever since and we have been enjoying great BBQ off of that little guy. Well, it's time! Want to take advantage of the ten percent off before the 23rd and the price increase Jan. 1. The only bit of hesitation comes from wondering if with the price increase comes improvements that I don't know about. Any thoughts?

Does anyone know of changes/improvements to the FEC 100 that are coming in 2014? Or is the price increase just a normal increase and the smoker stays the same?

The price isn't being increased...it's simply discounted at present with the promo code.

As for changes, I'm not aware of any. The IQ4 board gets updated from time to time.

It's a great smoker...you'll love it.

It's my understanding that CS will be announcing a price increase the 1st of Jan on all it's smokers.

The price of everything goes up. And in my bussiness, I use some stainless steel items, and they have gone up alot.

I know what I paid for my units, and I have seen what the run now. And things continue to go up.

Buy sooner than later??

The sun is shining, it is minus 2 outside and my FEC 100 is coming! Out for delivery according to fedex. Can't wait! Talked to CS folks and was told the prices are going up as of 1/1. It hasn't hit the web page yet. I did good. It's time!

I love this thing! Everything I thought it would be and more. Only thing missing is a handle on the door! It does pop open when you unlatch it though, probably get used to it and won't say more. Cooking a couple PB's before the temps drop. It's so cold up here that schools have already closed for Monday.

I recall reading on the forum awhile ago that the door handle was eliminated...something that received mixed comments.

You could probably attach a garage door-like handle to the front with negative impact. The handle is useful.
