Anyone have a manual meat mixer does it work or is it just a waste of money. Ive been looking at one that will hook up to my grinder but I just cant justify the $250

I use the Cabelas 40lb mixer hooked up to my 1hp grinder. It works good if you make alot of large batches. I did 500lbs a couple of weeks ago and it worked flawlessly. If you are doing small batches under 25lbs you are probably better off with the old fashioned way mixing by hand. It does a good job of mixing spices, meat and wine to a good consistency quick. This mixer works better full than half full.
