On this Memorial Day Weekend let us not forget the true meaning. Our troops past and present have or have been willing to give the ultimate sacrifice to keep us free. This strikes home very hard this year as our son was wounded by an RPG in Afghanistan a couple of weeks ago. He is a medic in the Green Beret and took 32 pieces of shrap metal. Thankfully he has recovered and is back serving his Country. The look on my wife's face when she received the phone call however made me instantly realize what had happened. I cannot imagine the feeling a parent would go through if that call had a fatal outcome.

God Bless our Troops.

Thanks for the post, I'm sure that was a tough time that ended well, I pray he comes home safe soon.

While we go through the aftermath of the events in Moore, I took time today to go to the Memorial Cemetary. Seeing the number of flags there, on the graves and on the main street is a moving sight. My father serve in WWII and every year, the scouts always put a flag on his grave. I'm happy to say that I'm a Patriot and proud to see the flay flying like that. including my Father's moved me significantly.

Remember the reason for the season.

Thanksgiving is the Day where we give thanks for what we have. Memorial Day is the Day where we pause to give thanks to the people who fought for what we have

Amen to all the above posts.

Thinking of all who have signed the proverbial "blank check" to give their all, so that we might enjoy the liberty & freedom we have today. Especially proud of my nephew in Afghanistan & praying for him and all his comrades in arms. May they come home quickly & safely.

God bless America!
