Received a Cookshack Amerique on Tuesday 11-24-09. No extention cord.... Internal temperature will not rise about 153 degrees F. Any suggestions?? Its Thanksgiving!!!

I wouldn't take chances today. Do your turkey the way you've always done it and call Cookshack the next time they're open (tomorrow or Monday). They'll make it right, and you'll still get a great tasting, traditional Thanksgiving. Enjoy.
Thanks for the support Pags.... I have reverted to the oven for my turkey, while my brisket and pork shoulder are in my old electric smoker. I will call CS on Monady. I just wonder what could be wrong with it.
Are you sure you are not measuring Celcius. 153 C is 307 F. Which would be about right. Just a thought.

Nice thought and suggestion. Received my new temperature switch today.. Installed it and now its heating correctly. Bill and Tony from customer service determined that my temp. switch was bad. I am a smoking fool now
