Congrats on your purchase. You might be surprised at how much you can cram into one of those little buggers if you plan it right. I'm kind of new to the Smokette myself having sold my big ol' offset log burner last year. At first I was a little skeptical but no more. It's far simpler to cook on and turns out really great product. I've cooked four slabs of St. Louis cut ribs in a rib rack on one shelf and they turned out perfect. You've got three shelves in the Smokette so you do the math. That said, you might not want to use the bottom shelf as it's a little close to the heating element but if you do use it, just rotate the top and bottom shelves half way through the cook. Another alternative is to use rib hooks. You'll have to cut the ribs in half for your unit.

I've also seen posts where guys have cooked six butts at one time and had success. It seems that the Smokette performs best when really loaded down with product.

Give it a chance before you give up on it I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I had a smokette for over a year and recently purchased a new and bigger Amerique. I was going to sell my Smokette to a buddy but decided I better keep it around after all the great smoking it has done for me.

P.S.-when I cook/smoke brisket I plug in the smokette instead of the Amerique.
